Stay NSW vouchers give residents $50 off accommodation – The Latch

If being able to roam freely after months of lockdown wasn’t enough to get us enjoying travel now, NSW residents are now also getting $50 vouchers they can use for accommodation.

From Monday February 21, the vouchers, called Stay NSW, will be rolled out in different parts of the state, with NSW residents aged 18 and over entitled to one each.

Vouchers can be used for stays any day of the week, including public holidays, at participating accommodation providers in NSW. Unlike Dine and Discover vouchers, however, they will not automatically appear in your Service NSW app, you will need to add it to your account.

To access it, open your Service NSW app on your mobile. Click on “Vouchers”, under “COVID Safe Check-in”. There, in the “My vouchers” section, you will see all the Dine and Discover vouchers you still have. Click ‘Browse’ next to it and ‘Learn more’ under the Stay NSW block.

Scroll down until you see “Verify your address”. Once you’re confirmed as eligible (again, vouchers are rolled out by area), you’ll need to verify yourself and agree to the terms and conditions, and the voucher will immediately appear in your app along with a QR code that the company provides. accommodation can scan to withdraw $50 from your stay.

Note that Stay NSW vouchers can only be used for the room – not for services from another accommodation company. Additionally, they must be redeemed by Sunday, October 9. You can view the list of eligible Stay NSW businesses here.

Parents in NSW, meanwhile, also get five additional $50 vouchers they can use for participating Stay NSW or Discover NSW businesses (in addition to $500 vouchers per primary-aged child they can use for childcare). So if they were to use them all for accommodation, plus the additional Stay NSW voucher, they would get $300 off a hotel stay. Or, if using both parents at once, $600 off.

Have a blast in an OTT suite for just one night, or take a long weekend and stay somewhere a little less nice (but still charming) – the choice is yours.
