Security officer

Reporting to the Head of Security, you will provide leadership to 600-800 colleagues who handle between 20-30 million passengers per year through security. In this role, you will manage day-to-day security operations and be responsible for operations, resource coordination and act as a key contact for airport stakeholders. You will drive a culture that complies with regulatory and internal requirements, place health and safety at the heart of operational planning and foster the highest levels of customer service.

Salary: £46,469.64 + 17.5% shift pay, up to 10% bonus and benefits

Working hours: 40 hours per week – 12 hours of work covering 2 days and 2 nights.

Grounds maintenance apprentice

The individual will support the maintenance of landscape infrastructure, performing landscape maintenance to the highest standards and observing best horticultural practices. In this role, you will ensure that the green area around the airport is maintained and that scheduled maintenance programs are in accordance with instructions. Work is usually based outdoors and undertaken throughout the year, so apprentices will need to work in all weathers. This is a ‘hands on’ role covering a range of practical tasks, with specialist skills being acquired as you progress.

As a general rule, apprentices attend the College one day a week during the school term and work for their employer 4 days a week. During your academic day, you will develop your foundational knowledge, then your learning will continue with on-the-job training at the workplace, with regular support visits from your training manager. Level 2 apprenticeship lasts about 20 to 24 months; however, the timing is flexible and will depend on the successful candidate’s previous experience.

Salary: £12,000 as an apprentice, working up to £23,000 after apprenticeship

Working hours: 2-year fixed-term contract (possibility of a permanent contract, after successful completion of the apprenticeship).

An experienced driver is required at Stansted Airport. Applicant must be a safe and experienced driver with over 3 years of driving experience, over 25 years of age and no more than 3 penalty points on your UK driving licence, passionate about teamwork and achievement of the set objectives.

The Driver will work on daily SLAs by moving passenger vehicles to and from the correct storage locations, accurately recording vehicle locations, checking and recording any damage and transporting co-workers in fleet vehicles.

Pay: £10.92 per hour (including shift pay) rising to £12.10 per hour (including shift)

Working hours: 35-hour shifts and 40-hour shifts available – 35 hours – 5 out of 3 rest, 4 a.m. – 12 p.m. 40 hours – 4 on 4 off, 2 days 2 nights, 12 hour shifts

Front desk manager

A chef is required in the airport reception lounges. The chef must follow recipes and instructions and cook a variety of foods. They must also maintain the food supply by ensuring presentation meets operating standards, maintaining stock levels, receiving delivery of supplies, ensuring storage is correct, rotating and servicing.

They must also ensure that floors are swept and mopped or vacuumed, ensure that equipment is cleaned, sanitized and stored properly, Assist in the cleaning and organization of the kitchen ensuring a high standard of hygiene , dispose of waste, including recycling, in an appropriate manner and if necessary to remove it to the designated place. liaise with contractor suppliers, airline representatives, handling agents and reservations agents to develop positive working relationships to ensure the efficient operation and development of the lounge and assist with individual training new staff, including staff from subcontracted suppliers, in order to maintain the high level of presentation, hospitality and service.

Salary: £10.92 per hour which includes 17.5% shift allowance

Baggage and Security Assets Engineer

You will provide technical excellence in baggage and security asset product management and help plan, organize and execute the baggage and security maintenance program using data to continuously improve the technical efficiency of assets.

Salary: Starting salary of £40,855.07, increasing each year to £44,866.88

Security officer

As a Security Manager at London Stansted Airport, you will be responsible for delivering and maintaining security operations. You will lead, develop and inspire security teams to reach their full potential and provide excellent customer service.

Salary: £35,899.08 + 17.5% shift pay + bonus + benefits

Security agent

No security experience is required as full training is provided, but you must have experience working in a customer-focused environment. Enthusiasm, a proactive attitude and your ability to provide excellent customer service are required. As the face of MAG, we need you to be well presented, punctual and detail oriented.

Please note that all candidates must have perfect color vision and the role will require long periods of standing, bending, walking and manual manipulation. If successful, you will receive a conditional offer subject to pre-employment checks and successful completion of your initial 3-week training course which is fully paid.

Checks include: criminal record check, 5 years of work experience and anti-terrorism check. You will also need to attend a face-to-face medical appointment. Due to the nature of our security checks, we are unable to consider applications from applicants who have not lived in the UK for the past 3 years.

Salary: £14.00 per hour (£12.63 during initial 3 month probationary period (including 17.5% shift allowance)

Hours of work: 20-30 hours per week on an early/late/mixed work schedule.

airport ambassador

As an Airport Ambassador, you will be the face of London Stansted Airport. You will provide social support to the customer, provide initial first aid response and liaison with emergency services, provide empathy and reassurance to customer issues, meet and greet customers at key touch points throughout their journey and more.

Salary: £11.97 per hour, rising to £13.26 after 3 months probation – This figure includes 17.5% shift pay.
