Reservations are now open for Santa’s Cave in Chirk

FAMILIES in Chirk can now get into the festive spirit by booking a visit to Santa’s Cave at the town’s garden center.

Dobbies Garden Center, in Moreton Park, is accepting reservations for guests wishing to meet Santa this year.

And this year, the site will be one of 50 stores across the UK, which will have Quiet Grottos.

In partnership with Autism Together, there will be visits from Santa Claus that will support children with additional needs, taking into account sound and visual elements and helping to minimize anxiety.

Michelle Walklett, Head of Autism Training and Counseling, Autism Together, said: “As a UK charity specializing in supporting people with autism, we are delighted to be working with Dobbies in Moreton Park to help enhance their Christmas cave experience for visitors with autism and others. sensory needs.

“Through this partnership, we will also be offering autism awareness training to Santa Claus and all of his elves and helpers in time for the holiday season.”

Toddlers visiting Moreton Park Cave can walk through the open-air forest, spot Christmas characters along the way before being greeted by Santa and receiving a special gift.

For those looking to create a lasting memory, a photo can be purchased.

At Santa’s Breakfast, families can enjoy a Dobbies Breakfast, which includes breakfast options for adults and children, followed by fun games and a visit from Santa Claus with a special gift for every child.

This event is suitable for families with children aged 10 and under.

Sarah Murray, Head of Partnerships and Events at Dobbies, is happy to be able to offer families the opportunity to make memories.

She added: “There really is nothing more magical than Christmas for a child and our range of events help bring the season to life for the whole family.”

Dobbies’ Moreton Park Christmas events can be viewed online, with guests urged to reserve in advance.

Also new for 2021 is the option to add a donation to the price of an event ticket, for Dobbies’ national charity partner, Teenage Cancer Trust.
