Online Republic, a division of Webjet Limited based locally in New Zealand, rebrands itself as GoSee, a consolidated marketplace for car and RV rental worldwide.
GoSee will combine Online Republic’s two distinct travel brands, Airport Rentals and Motorhome Republic, into one comparison website specializing in land travel.
CEO Darren Linton said the rebranding is a direct response to the changing travel landscape and rising demand for road travel as consumers seek an easier experience among the overwhelming number of travel options available.
“We want to provide travelers with unmatched choice and a seamless experience that allows them to search and compare vehicles, all on the same site. There has been a global surge in RV and car rental bookings over the past two years, with single-destination round-trip travel rivaling slower do-it-yourself trips. GoSee’s vision is to provide consumers with everything they need to travel the way they want, to help them create memories and to connect them to the people and places they love, ”says Linton.
The launch of GoSee will also be accompanied by a new advertising campaign, the launch of which is planned in two phases in November and March, in OOH, digital and social.
Marketing director Ali Duncan said the campaign will focus on celebrating the trip just as much as the destination through the launch of two animated films.
“When it comes to remembering our greatest adventures, our best memories aren’t always about the mode of transportation we used to get there, but often the journey is just as enjoyable as the destination. From this idea, our brand line was born – getting there can be as good as being there.
“Our animated films, designed by creative partners, Daylight Creative, use an inverted print technique, going back from memorable moments to reveal the journey it took to get there, which acts like a celebration. fun and original travel. We want to emphasize that creating memories can be fun right off the bat and encourage travelers to spend more time venturing and less time planning, ”says Duncan.
The brand was developed in partnership with branding agency Translate Digital, which worked with GoSee to create an identity that captures the upbeat and upbeat nature of the type of travelers who will use GoSee to reserve their wheels to explore the world. The new brand name itself was inspired by the message GoSee wants customers to take, to “GoSee distant friends, family and exciting new places, your way.”
According to Linton, the new positioning is a testament to the trust that Online Republic brands have established with travelers over the past 15 years.
“In an industry dominated by travel generalists, GoSee is an expert in the car and RV travel niche. Being locally based in Aotearoa, we see ourselves as the traveling and adventurous friend of our clients, ready to share expert advice to ensure our clients have the best possible trip, ”he said.
GoSee’s new website is now live and was developed in partnership with DNA Design, a digital design-led agency. The GoSee interface has been designed with simplicity and ease of use in mind, with a focus on creating unique and high-value experiences for customers. An improved design of the booking flow is expected to launch in early 2022.
