Mangaluru, October 8: A congratulations and awards ceremony organized by the World Bunts’ Foundation Trust was held at the AJ Grand Hotel on Bunts Hostel Road on Saturday 8th October.
Meanwhile, the keys to the house have been handed over to 17 beneficiaries of a housing program offered by Shashi Kiran Shetty.
Six personalities were congratulated on this occasion. They were CA Mandara P Shetty, CA Darshan Shetty (passed CA final exam on first attempt) CA Shantharam Shetty, President, Indian Red Cross Society, Mangaluru, K Prithvi Raj Shetty Chairman, Mangalore Bar Association, PB Harish Rai, Member, National Council of Indian Federation of Working Journalists.
The Dr. DK Chowta Endowment Award was given to K Raghurama Shetty for his contribution to Yakshagana. An endowment scholarship was distributed to the students.
The Bunt Eminent Person Award went to Shashi Kiran Shetty, Founder and Chairman of Allcargo Group, Mumbai.
Speaking on the occasion, Shashi Kiran Shetty said, “I accept this congratulations from the World Bunts’ Foundation Trust. The 17 beneficiaries are the most deserving and have been identified to provide shelter. The inspiration to provide homes for the deserving was based on two thoughts, one was to buy a new property in Mumbai and the second was my son’s 25th birthday. It inspired me with the need to share joy by providing shelter to those in need.
Patron Dr BR Shetty, Past President Dr M Shantharam Shetty also spoke on the occasion.
Vice President Kushal S Hegde, L Sacchidananda Hegde, Treasurer, CA P Raghavendra Shetty, Project Director, Dr B Sanjeev Rai, Vice President and Reetha Shetty, New Delhi were also present.

Prior to the awards and congratulations ceremony, the 26th Annual General Meeting of the World Bunts’ Foundation Trust for the year 2021-22 took place.
The World Bunts’ Foundation Trust, established in 1995, provides support to many grantees in the areas of education, health, sports, arts, culture and improving standards of nutrition and health. sanitation.
Over 6,000 students have benefited from the foundation over the years. The foundation has more than 700 members spread all over the world. The contributions paid by the members and the various endowments instituted by the donors constitute the main source of income to support the activities of the foundation.
