One month from the end, the third BizNews conference in the Drakensberg is officially sold out. Each of the 152 rooms of the Champagne Sports Resort is now assigned.
Before our last pre-conference visit to the station last week, we knew that the “full house” signs were due to be installed soon. So we asked the station’s events manager, Kogin Naicker, to get creative. He hatched a plan.
The complex also houses independent chalets, some of which have been secured by the Champagne Sports team. The cost per person is the same as those sharing a hotel room. But to avoid logistical nightmares, reservations can only be made per chalet.
In other words, if you haven’t booked yet but still want to attend BNC#3, there is an alternative to moping about being too late. You can share a chalet and make it profitable by bringing in at least three other participants – or another couple.
If you like the idea, email Kogin via and he will help you through this.
But please don’t delay. Participation in BNC #3 is limited to those who are actually staying on the property. And there are only a limited number of chalets available to us.
Here are the options:
Chalet 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms – R25,900
The reservation is for three nights (Tuesday through Friday) and includes four tickets to BNC #3 and all food and activities according to guests staying at the hotel.
Chalet with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms – R38,850
The reservation is for three nights (Tuesday through Friday) and includes six tickets to BNC #3 and all food and activities according to guests staying at the hotel.
PS Additional nights can be added at R1,095 per person per night including dinner, bed and breakfast.
