Aberdeen student accommodation forced up for sale

Student accommodation provider Alpha Homes Group has appointed RSM to oversee the sale of its 30-bedroom site in Aberdeen.

The decision to appoint trustees was taken by a group of investors in the Highgate development in Aberdeen, following a backlog of unpaid rent due under various tenancy agreements.

The company continues to trade, with student tenants in place.

Administrators work with the manager and estate agents to maximize potential returns to creditors from the sale of the development, while ensuring continuity of service for residents.

According to RSM, the company has no registered employees.

Paul Dounis, Partner at RSM and Co-Administrator, said: “With student tenants currently residing in the property, we want to ensure that exchanges continue, ensuring minimal disruption to residents and their living situation, while we are looking to sell the Aberdeen site.

“As part of this process, we are working with real estate agents and relevant stakeholders to ensure we verify all necessary information to update tenants and facilitate a pleasant sale.”
