A college student dived to her death from the fourth floor of an apartment building.

The 20-year-old, who has not been named, was found dead on the road in Wolverhampton, West Midlands.

She was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after.

Emergency services were called to Digs Chambers 51, a student accommodation close to the University of Wolverhampton, around 6 a.m.

A West Midlands Police spokesperson confirmed: ‘A woman has died after falling from a window at student accommodation on Lichfield Street, Wolverhampton.

“The 20-year-old was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.

“We have worked with the staff at the University of Wolverhampton and our hearts go out to the woman’s family, friends and the wider student community at this sad time.

“Death is not considered suspicious and will be referred to the coroner.”

Digs Chambers 51, a five-minute walk from Lichfield Street University, offers studio and en-suite student apartments from £ 100 per week.
